Henry's First Golf Outing

Less than one month until his sixth birthday, Henry made his 18-hole golfing debut at the Raccoon Hills Golf Club in Kent, Ohio.

It was a roaring success!

The fine folks at the 'Coon made sure to provide Henry with his own small-fry sized 5-wood. Henry sees no need to use multiple clubs.

He drove with the 5-wood (literally), he worked the fairway with it, he chipped with it and he putted with it.

A true professional one club golfer. He was a hitting machine.
The best part was that Henry and I got to spend the morning with Uncle Bill who proceeded to blast 300 yard drives while "picking up" the many duffs and dribblers that Henry and I put out to pasture.

Good times.

In case you are wondering about the above picture, that small figure in the center of the picture is Henry taking a bathroom break on Hole #13. All I had was my Palm Treo to take the pictures.
I was kicking myself for forgetting the good camera, especially when the Hankster went Full Monty in the woods.

Funny stuff.

Nothing quite like your bare-assed son relieving himself in front of the flora and fauna of Kent, Ohio.

Kid's got quite a future.

Henry's Mad Skills

Henry hits the spring board for a squat on.

Henry practices his regrips.

Henry's Last Day of Gymnastics!

Henry had his last gymnastics class today. This is Henry with his teacher, Miss Lisa. This is one of the few times that Henry stood still while in class.

Henry was the only boy in class, as you can see in this picture. He had his pick of the ladies!

Henry on the rings. Sorry, I forgot to flip the picture but you get the idea. He is a monkey!

Henry staying focused on the horse.

Henry and cousin Maura take time out to pose.

Caroline got in on the action. She decided to practice her skills on the beam.

She also wanted to show Henry that she can do the rings just like him.

My two monkeys!

Day at the Museum!

The kids and I decided to head to the Children's Museum this afternoon to celebrate the last day of school (thank God). Henry and Caroline had a great time running from room to room, and Josie was in super cute mode the whole afternoon considering it was nap time.

This is Josie after crawling into the barn silo. Luckily for her no one was throwing plastic food down the shoot.

Oink, oink. We'll be pigs!

Henry was making some really cool water tunnels at the water table (and getting everyone around him drenched).

Caroline was dancing at the block table.

And again, Josie being super cute. She is starting to understand that when a camera is in her face, it is best to smile and make mom happy (and everyone else who sees this picture).

Henry and Caroline conquered the water tower. Henry was really great at helping Caroline. She got a little scared at the top, but he showed her where to put her feet and how to get down. Such a sweet big brother.

Josie decided to drive the crew home. Good thing Henry and Caroline put their seat belts on!

Last Day of School

Henry and Caroline are officially on Summer Vacation!

Henry proudly displays his preschool graduation certificate.

Henry poses with Mrs. Hrosik and Mrs. K.

This is Isabella, one of Henry's girlfriends. He had three girlfriends and one girl he claims he is going to marry in his class this year. Rob and I asked him one time how he knew that these girls liked him. His response..."When they look at me they have hearts in their eyes!"

Caroline also finished school this week. This is a picture of her class minus her. For those of you who don't know, Caroline cried every week (and that is no exaggeration). Every Wednesday we would ask about her day and she always said, "I didn't play with anybody." Can't wait until the fall when she goes three days a week!

Finally Caroline and her teachers, Mrs. Becka and Miss Carol. They definitely earned a summer break!

Opening Day

The Mudcats started their season last weekend. We dodged raindrops and the winds to get it in. All in all, the Mudcats performed like the well-oiled machine that they showed in practice.

I'm sporting shades and a 2XL shirt this season.

Don't ask.

I'm hoping I can wash it down a few sizes.

The black jerseys should be great on those 80 degree days.

Anyway, here's Henry taking his trip around the bases.

Cleveland Tourism

Until we can catch up with an actual post worth viewing, here's a Cleveland tourism piece that made us chuckle.

F-bomb warning. You don't want to listen to this at work unless you have headphones.

Enjoy.
